Yangon –Bagan-Mandalay- Inle
Day 1 : Arrival Yangon and sightseeing
Arrival Yangon, you will be greeted by your guide from GeoDiscover Travel and transfer to your hotel. Sightseeing in Yangon will start after a brief rest at the hotel. You’ll be taken to the downtown sections to see the colonial buildings; The Sule Pagoda located at the heart of the city & the City Hall; the Chauk-htat-gyi colossal reclining Buddha temple in Myanmar. Chauk- htet-gyi is 70-meter long reclining Buddha. In the afternoon, visit will be continued to the World Famous Shwedagon which is the most revered Buddhist temple in Myanmar. The original structure was built 2500 years ago then renovated several times until taking its current shape in the 18 century. The elegant central stupa is 99 meters tall and gilded with gold leaf and is surrounded by 64 smaller stupas and our guide will show around the complex. And then transfer back to your hotel.
Day 2 : Yangon – Bagan
In the early morning transfer to Yangon Domestic Airport for a flight to Bagan.
A world heritage archaeological site. After check-in to the hotel, a full day tour to some of mysterious and magnificent stupas and temples of a bygone era of between 11th & 13th centuries selected out from over 2217 of them as well as local market and traditional 'Lacquer ware' workshop. Of course, you will have time to watch the stunning scenery of the breathtakingly impressive Bagan's sunset over the legendary Ayeyarwaddy River as an aesthetic joy while in Bagan.
Day 3: Bagan – Mandalay
Have breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Nyaung U airport flight to Mandalay and check-in to the hotel. If time permissible, visit to a typical Burmese village on the way to Amarapura. The highlights of Amarapura will be included of centuries old the world longest U Bein bridge built by the teak wood; Mahagandayon Monastery with over 1000 Buddhist monks; and Mahamuni temple, This pagoda is home to one the country’s most revered Buddha images which, over the years, have been covered with gold leaf giving it an almost lumpy texture. In the afternoon, continue to see the intricate wood-carved Golden Palace monastery: the world biggest stone books: the huge Kyaukdawgyi Marble image carved-out from a single block of stone: if time to permit take a glance into King Mindon'sMyanansankyaw Palace site of Kaunbaungdynasty. Head to the top of Mandalay Hill pagoda where you can have the panoramic view to the city, palace & surrounding area atop from it.
Day 4 : Mandalay – Heho
After breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Mandalay airport in the morning. Arrive Heho airport and then transfer to the canal pier in NyaungShwe, the gateway Town of Inle Lake. Full day tour on the outrageously beautiful lake by private boat to visit the NgaPheKyaung monastery, region’s most revered PhaungDawOo Pagoda, which is the lake’s main sanctuary and contains five sacred Buddha images covered in gold leaf. And then you can see traditional silk weaving looms at Inn Paw Khon village, the silversmith village, and the impressive ruins of Inn Dein village. While on the boat tour, you will also observe the unique lifestyle of Inn Thar people… the leg rowers, floating gardens, fishermen with strange fishing gears.
Day 5: Heho –Yangon and departure in the evening
After having breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Heho airport. Arrive Yangon and then continue to Bogyoke Market, formerly known as Scott’s Market, where is the time to browse through the dozens of stalls and shops.( Note: Market is closed on Mondays and public holidays). As today come to a close take a stroll around colorful Chinatown and visit one of Yangon’s Chinese temples before transfer to the Yangon International Airport for your international departure.
