mandalay-02Day 1 Day 1 Arrive Mandalay by flight. Meet and greet at Airport and hotel check in. A brief rest and start your sightseeing trip. Mandalay is the last capital of Imperial Myanmar. The last King of the Konbaung Dynasty was captured and exiled by the British when they occupied the country in 1866. As it is Mandalay is considered the cultural centre of Myanmar, a place where Myanmar traditions and arts are lovingly preserved. MahaMyat Muni Statue would be your first visit as you start your tour after checking in at the hotel. This huge brass statue of Lord Buddha is believed by the Myanmar Buddhists that Buddha himself had breathed life into this statue during his lifetime and is regarded as a living being. Every morning there is a face washing ceremony with gentle music playing in the background to wake up the statue. The world's biggest book, the LawkaMarazeinKuthodaw pagoda, is where the entire "Tripitaka" the Buddhist scripture texts are etched on more than 700 marble slabs for posterity. The LawkaMarazraeinKuthodaw pagoda has been inscribed by UNESCO in its Memory of the World list. The ShweKyaung or Golden Monastery would be next to visit. It is a living Buddhist monastery with monks and novices still in residence. And of course the Mya Nan San KyawShwe Nan Taw or the Great Palace grounds is your next stop. The original teak wood building were all destroyed during WW II but some buildings are now rebuilt for you to imagine the grandeur of the courts during the Konbaung Dynasty. Mandalay, during the day is hot and siesta time is recommended after lunch. Wake up and prepare to get up the Mandalay Hill for the sunset. This hill also has connections with the life of Lord Buddha. It was said that there was a prophesy saying a great city would rise under its shadow where Buddhism would flower and this prophesy had indeed come true. Sunset view from the Mandalay Hill is an unforgettable sight. Back to hotel and rest after dinner of course. ;
bagan-03Day 2 Fly to Bagan and drive to Mindat on the Chin Hills. The drive will cross the Ayeyarwady and pass thru Myanmar villages along the Yaw Chaung valley until it reaches the foothills of the Chin Hills at Kyauktu. It is just 8 miles from here to Mindat, the capital of southern Chin State. Explore Mindat on your own.Tattooed women would be seen at the Mindat market place, especially in the mornings.Overnight Mindat.


chinDay 3 After breakfast, make a visit to morning market and start morning scenic driving to Crake River among the Chin mountain range. We will leave our jeep at a small bridge and start up trekking to Chin old traditional villages, Kyardo village. On the way, visit Lope Pe village. . All of these villages are on the hill-side of the mountain and all villagers still use their traditional costumes and live in their traditional huts made of bamboo and long grass. Enjoy their traditional dancing by taking Chin wine, “Khaungye”. Overnight stay at a village house.


chin03Day 4 After morning sightseeing in the village, continue our trekking to the other site of the mountain range to catch our jeep again and driver to Aye Village for another one hour. It will be very cold at the village as its meaning, Aye village means “cold village”. It is in the valley of 300sq miles wide NatmaTaung National Park. Wondering in the village to observe the way of life of Chin people and studying the tattooed faced old women are one of the highlight of our trip. Dinner and overnight stay at a village house will give as rare experience.


chin04Day 5 After breakfast, we are taken to the base camp of 10200ft high Mt. Victoria for an hour driving. And then, we will leave our car at the base camp and start up trekking to the top of the mountain for 3.5 miles distance. It will be a hard trekking in the first three quarter and will be easy in the rest time till to the top. We have lunch at the summit of Mt. Victoria. It is a home of Myanmar birds and wild orchids. It’s a good trekking under the shady trees, fragrance of the flowers and among the green bamboo bushes. After lunch, we trek back to our jeep and continue our journey to Kampalat. After taking a rest at hotel, we wonder around the Kampalat town to see the way of life of the people. Pine Hill hotel’s dinner and services for night stay will make us pleased.
Day 6 Kanpalat – Bagan by car In the morning, we proceed to historical capital Bagan for Myanmar ancient temples and stupas excursion. On the way, we enjoy scenic long journey in the forest mountain and visit Saw and some villages. Lunch at a local restaurant and make some biological stops on the way. In the evening, arrive at Bagan, one of the wonders of the world and the biggest UNESCCO site in Asia and the unique cultural heritage of the Myanmar nation. In the evening, enjoy the sunset at a big temple, Pyathatgyi temple. Overnight at Hotel.


bagan-15Day 7.Bagan to Yangon by flight
After having breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Bagan airport. Arrive Yangon and transfer to your hotel. Sightseeing in Yangon will start after a brief rest at the hotel. You’ll be taken to the downtown sections to see the colonial buildings; The Sule Pagoda located at the heart of the city & the City Hall; the Chauk-htat-gyi colossal reclining Buddha temple in Myanmar. Chauk- htet-gyi is 70-meter long reclining Buddha. In the afternoon, visit will be continued to the World FamousShwedagon which is the most revered Buddhist temple in Myanmar. The original structure was built 2500 years ago then renovated several times until taking its current shape in the 18 century. The elegant central stupa is 99 meters tall and gilded with gold leaf and is surrounded by 64 smaller stupas and our guide will show around the complex. And then transfer back to your hotel.
yangon-14Day 8. Yangon Departure
After breakfast and then we start to visit Bogyoke Market, formerly known as Scott’s Market, where is the time to browse through the dozens of stalls and shops.( Note: Market is closed on Mondays and public holidays). As today come to a close take a stroll around colorful Chinatown and visit one of Yangon’s Chinese temples before transfer to the Yangon International Airport for your international departure.
